FirstPoint Energy Corporation is a privately held company with
headquarters in Portland, Oregon. Operating divisions include
Teldata Solutions and UtilityOne.
Dennis T. Wilson founded the company in 1999. The company
acquired Teldata Solutions in 2000 from National Grid. Teldata
Solutions, a 20-year old organization, provides utilities and
end-users with the software to harness the power of meter data. In
2001, FirstPoint Energy acquired UtilityOne, a highly acclaimed
e-commerce platform designed for the utility industry.
FirstPoint believes that as the utility industry, specifically
the energy marketplace, continues to evolve, e-commerce and data
solutions will begin to converge. FirstPoint's operating divisions
provide the energy information services, the software and e-commerce
platforms to distribute meter data to multiple audiences.
With this combination of technologies and capabilities, the
company is positioned to capitalize on the convergence of data and
e-commerce.
